The modern idea of “back to nature”, Today this is more relevant than ever, is often perceived as an escape route from the hustling and noisy world around us. The dream of reintroduction of man to nature’s purity exists as a practice of escape and restart.

The notion of a gradually disappearing nature led Orna Lalo to try and preserve the memory and the feeling of that which is fading.

This project asks to synthesize and recreate the feeling of amazement when encountering mechanisms of both flora and fauna by creating an artificial environment which regenerates the experience through motion, sound, illumination, text and mechanical parts, and invites the moments of pure, unknown existence.

The field invites the observer to merge in space as an essential, yet non-exclusive, element of the environment. The illusion of nature does not ask to replace that which exists – it aims to activate the senses and remind us of nature outside and around us, its beauty and forms.
