The exhibition “The Future of Living” offers a fresh selection of contemporary Slovenian design, made from local ingredients and based on sustainable principles.
It combines creative work with a business vision and spotlights the stories of small brands that express functionality, a passion for life and nature, innovative applications of local materials (especially wood), and new production techniques that build on regional craftsmanship and advanced techniques of sustainable production.
The products forecast the future of living, in which raw materials are no longer available in abundance, production methods and human resources need to be rationalized, and products are adapted to a new generation of users who want customized solutions. These come with innovative, technologically advanced production that producers and designers combine with their overarching love of life and nature.
